Welcome to the website of Boise Guitar Repair, a cooperative of Idaho luthiers Dave Boehlke, Scott Urban and Jim Weaver. Representing a combined experience of nearly 50 years, Boise Guitar Repair offers luthery services ranging from basic setups to complete restorations of fine and rare instruments. Boise Guitar Repair also provides limited factory authorized warranty repairs for Martin, Fender and Taylor guitars. With clients ranging from the youngest Childbloom guitar students to some of the world's most noted players, Boise Guitar Repair offers you the region's finest in stringed instrument repair.

Repair Fees and Payment

Repair costs vary depending on the situation. For example, a full setup includes nut adjustment, trus rod adjustment, saddle adjustment, intonation adjustment when possible or needed, and we tighten any loose hardware (tuners, output jacks, etc). It also includes re-stringing (strings themselves are extra). A full setup can range from $45 to $75, depending on the instrument. Our setups are based on years of experience, and are very specific to each player - we pay full attention to your playing style when we work on your guitar.

Call or email anytime with your repair questions. And don't worry about diagnostic fees: if we can't fix it, there's no charge!

We accept cash or personal checks for all repair work. If you prefer to use a credit or debit card, you can do so by clicking the button below and entering the desired amount.
