Scott started his luthery journey when he became interested in owning a fine handcrafted classical guitar and decided to learn how to build his own. Accumulating a stack of luthery books, tools, and with some guidance from master luthier Dave Boehlke, he began chipping away at sections of spruce, mahogany, ebony and rosewood. That journey left him with fine classical guitars that he has been playing now for 25 years.

His guitar design and building experience, combined with a lifelong interest in guitars, wood working, problem solving and repairs in general, led to him to assisting Dave Boehlke with repairs for Old Boise Guitar Company, and for the guitar community at large.
Decades, and thousands of guitars later, Scott is still providing the highest quality repairs for a range of issues, and for a wide variety of stringed instruments, including setups customized for each individual player, broken headstocks, cracked and smashed bodies, electronics issues, pretty much any repair a stringed instrument could need!
